I’ve only been back to work for 2 weeks, so I’m pretty new to to pumping thing. I didn’t really have to do it at all with our first child because I was home for her first year. This time, though, I’m back after 9 weeks. My company doesn’t have a dedicated “moms room,” and I don’t have an office with a door, so I sign out a small conference room three times a day to pump. I pumped during a conference call the other day, and was convinced everyone on the phone could hear it in the background. But here is the real dilemma: what do you do when someone schedules a meeting during your normal pumping time, besides sit there getting more and more uncomfortable? And I’m constantly worried now that my son is going to start enjoying his bottles more than me, and that my supply will go down. I complete agree with you – pumping is supposed to make things so much easier, but it comes with a host of issues all its own.
